Note: We only have a handful of pitches left as of 4th April.
Our free-to-visit festival, now in its eighth year, will incorporate all that was best from previous years with new things added for 2021. Again, it will take over much of the old part of the village of Mountsorrel with a Street Parade and Fun Run along the old main road, themed areas, lots of music and something for all the family. It’s guaranteed to bring in the crowds and you’re certain of some delighted customers. 🙂
The good news is that a ‘standard’ pitch is still £20. You’ll be able to tell us exactly what you want during the on-line booking process but if you have any pitch/stall related queries you can either raise them as part of your request or click here to email us now.
How to Apply:
Once you’ve decided to apply there are three simple steps. 🙂
- Check our Terms & Conditions (opens in a new tab)
- Decide where you would like your pitch to be located by checking our event map (opens in a new tab) in conjunction with the Pitch Location details below

This is our traditional fete area. About 20 pitches are located on both sides of the old village green. Our plans for this area include a fancy dress competition, Morris dancing, a coconut shy, tin-can alley, musical Interludes and more. The fun-run and parade will terminate here. We are again seeking permission to close the road so there will be no vehicular access to this area during the event. All pitches are on grass.
The fantastic Memorial Centre will hold about 20 internal stalls in the magnificent main auditorium; typically, these will be Art & Crafts, but all are welcome. We are hoping to include a giant Slot Car racetrack and model railway too. It will also host the village competitions and some musical entertainment during the day.
Soar Valley Leisure Centre
The Soar Valley Leisure Centre car park will again host about 6 external pitches. These catch all the passing crowds moving between the Playing Field and the Memorial Centre/the Green. All pitches are on hard standing.
This is our main activity area. We are planning an Arena with a programme of entertainment as well as lots of activities such as an assault course, laser quest, rodeo ride, the dog show, and dog agility test. Activity areas will be provided for young people. Were also planning to retain all the old favourites like Have-a-go-Archery, soapbox racing, trampolines, and mini-roundabouts. An advantage of this area is that stallholders will be able to park their vehicles near their pitch. All pitches are on grass.
About a dozen stalls located from the yard at the Temperance Hall to the junction of the Market Place and Sileby Road. We are planning live entertainment in the Butter Market and we are again asking to close Watling Street to traffic to provide a safer environment for visitors to watch, listen and shop. The fun-run and parade will pass through this area. All pitches are on hard standing.
Waterside Inn Area
A small number of stalls will be based in and around the closed Waterside Inn Car Park. We are planning to host the Classic Car show here along with the Have-a-go-Boats on the River. Most pitches are on hard standing. Add a note to your request if you would prefer a grass pitch.
