The Leicestershire & Rutland Youth and Family Services present the Graham Lloyd Award for Young People at Mountsorrel REVIVAL each year. The Award was first made in 2022 in memory of Graham Lloyd. Graham was a former Chair of our own Mountsorrel Community Team and instrumental in the early days of Mountsorrel REVIVAL, but also he served the village for many years as the Mountsorrel Youth Development Officer based at the then Sorrel Youth Café and built the foundations of many of the projects still in place today in our many youth services.
The award recognises young people (under 18 years) in our community, and looks for nominations for a young person that you think is special. This could be for achievements despite adversity, being an outstanding member of their community/group/club/school, going above and beyond to support others, taking part in volunteering which benefits others, have taken a leading/influential role in a project that raises awareness of something that impacts others, contributed to/raised awareness of a charitable cause, or maybe some other act of kindness or achievement that deserves recognition.
Nomination needs to be made by 2nd week in July each year. Send nominations to admin@lryfs. Please give as much information as possible of why you are nominating this young person along with the following details:
