New for 2026, the Mountsorrel Community Team are putting on Picnic in the Park, a family friendly afternoon in Mountsorrel.

The event is on 7th June 2026 in Castle Gardens, with live entertainment on from 2pm, finishing at 5pm.  You are welcome to attend this family friendly event, bring a picnic, or purchase food from Brewards Cafe who are kindly open to support the event.

Live Entertainment

2pm – Acoustic performance from Chris Chambers
3pm – Rock Choir Leicestershire will be performing well choral versions of well known rock hits
4pm – Live rap performance from Jonezy, Leicestershire based rap artist

Throughout the afternoon

• Story-telling from Ian & Tigger
• Balloon modelling by Fantastic Balloons
• Ice cream, candy floss & sweets
