This was the approach to Sileby locks this week - easy to walk to from a few locations in Mountsorrel, leading to some great circular walks - although you might need your wellies/walking boots today.
Marshes and Nature reserve looking fabulous at the moment
I love to go on walks... but moved to the area the beginning of the first lockdown. If anyone can recommend some circular walks that would be fab! 😊
I took this photo this week on a walk along the river, the sky was beautiful
On Saturday afternoon we went for a walk to the top of Bond Lane. We walked through the woods heading towards Quorn. After approximately a hundred yards we turned left towards the road and crossed Swithland Lane to follow a track through the trees which bought us to a gate which lead to a path through a part of the quarry which has been turned into a nature walk. This is the view down into the quarry. It was quite amazing, considering it's on our doorstep.

It’s here! Tonight at 6pm communities are coming together to ring in Christmas 2020 and create some Christmas magic.
*We clapped on the doorsteps for our NHS. When we ring out tonight, remember them again. The ones who don’t get a break over Christmas* 🥰
Grab your bells and see you all on the doorstep!
